It's not what you say...it's what you do, Laurence Haughton, ed. Currency Doubleday, 2004. Based on the principles, as confirmed by several studies, that a large part of the decisions a company takes only have a limited effect on how work is performed, and that the employees only have a very vague idea of the strategy they are supposed to apply; this book proposes to give us the keys to remedy this situation.
      1. Implementation, Alan P. Brache,
        Ed. Currency Doubleday, 2004

The main quality of this short work is the rigor with which he presents his method for implementing strategy. A strategy = a series of initiatives. An initiative = a certain number of projects. A project = a manager who sponsors + a project leader + a team. A dedicated structure controls that the projects are progressing adequately, etc. Although this type of organization seems somewhat military and might not be adaptable to all situations and all businesses, it does have the merit of bringing a bit of order and clarity to an area where there is often a lack of it.
